We're looking for experienced Berthing Masters/Tug Master to work in an artificial Island Project in Abu Dhabi.
Function description
The Berthing Master will report directly to the Offshore Marine Manager. In this role, you will oversee port operations for material barges at temporary jetties and pontoons, coordinating tug guidance during these procedures. Key responsibilities include maintaining communication with the Offshore Marine Coordination (OMC), monitoring weather and visibility, ensuring adherence to schedules, and upholding safety standards in collaboration with the QHSSE Advisor. This position operates on a 6-week on/6-week off offshore rotation, with 12-hour workdays, 7 days a week.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years as a Tug Master, with 2 years in barge towing and berthing.
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
- Deep understanding of marine operations.
- Experience in the oil and gas sector.
- Background in dredging and rock works.
- Prior experience in a similar role on comparable projects.
