Function description
We are looking for Engineers motivated by the goal of developing people, and equipment, increasing efficiency, and driving the ambition to contribute to the sustainability of our planet. Our clients are world-leading contractors in the maritime, oil, & gas, and offshore energy markets.
Various Responsibilities:
- Conducting analyses, developing procedures, performing detailed calculations and simulations using the appropriate computer software, and providing hands-on support on board the installation vessels during the offshore phase;
- Designing and implementing innovative, cost-effective engineering solutions to prepare and safely and successfully complete all offshore installation activities;
- Analyzing and preparing project specifications for offshore transportation and installation operations, yard preparations, load-out, and barge transfer and tow operations;
- Preparing design calculations and designing reports for all (structural) heavy lift design work within scope, budget, and schedule;
- Developing procedures and preparing manuals for load-out, transfer, mooring, tow, installation, and transportation operations;
- Interfacing with various disciplines (project team, vessel crew, clients, subcontractors, certification authorities, marine warranty surveyor) to define efficient and cost-effective solutions and provide ongoing engineering support;
- Staying up to date with the development of specialized equipment for installation operations.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or Maritime Engineering (or equivalent);
- At least 3 years of relevant experience. Affinity with the offshore renewables and/or marine environment is preferable;
- Willing to travel and work offshore;
- Interest in developments in the renewable industry and energy transition;
- Team player who is motivated to take on a technical challenge;
- Self-starter with creative and analytical skills.
