Seeking an experienced Civil Engineer for a 12-month offshore assignment on 2x1 month rotation schedule. The role involves coordination, supervision, and quality inspections.
Function description
The Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating subcontractors on the project, specifically focusing on onshore civil and cable installation works. This role requires conducting quality inspections, such as pre-pour and post-pour assessments, to ensure compliance with project standards. Additionally, the engineer will act as the contractor representative for the ADNOC Permit-to-Work (PTW) system, a complex system that involves managing roles like Area Authority (AA), Performing Authority (PI), and Permit Authority (PA).
In this role, the civil engineer will also be tasked with developing and maintaining project schedules, attending client meetings, and keeping accurate records. They will be expected to review daily and weekly reports to ensure that project milestones are met. While independence and proactivity are crucial, especially when working on islands, close coordination with supervisors and the project team is essential for the successful execution of the project.
Requirements
- Proven experience in offshore civil engineering, with expertise in coordination, supervision, and quality inspections.
- ADNOC Offshore experience and familiarity with ADNOC’s Permit-to-Work system is a big plus.
- Strong organizational skills for managing schedules, meetings, and reports.
- Ability to work independently in challenging offshore environments.
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with subcontractors, clients, and supervision.
