Function description
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, our client is a leader in offshore and marine services, supporting major energy companies worldwide in their energy transition goals. They own and operate a fleet of self-elevating jack-ups, providing crew support wherever their clients operate.
As Vessel Superintendent, you’ll ensure our vessels operate smoothly and remain in compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include:
- Planning and managing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, project mobilizations, modifications, and surveys.
- Overseeing the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and supporting onboard supervisors.
- Managing spare parts strategy and inventory, and coordinating dry-docking.
- Collaborating with suppliers, reviewing contracts, and supporting budget preparations.
- Ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and industry regulations.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Background as a marine engineer, naval architect, or similar technical background.
- Proficiency in reading technical diagrams, preparing reports, and using PMS (preferably STAR-IPS).
- Strong organizational awareness and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to travel and work offshore as needed.
- Effective communication skills in Dutch and English.
