Short description
Our client is looking for a Project Engineer with tendering experience. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting dredging projects from the design phase through to installation. You will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders, ensuring technical issues are resolved and the project is delivered on time and to the required standards.
Function description
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Project Manager, project team, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement specific working methods, including conducting risk assessments.
- Provide technical coordination and advice to resolve any issues that arise during the project.
- Supervise subcontractors to ensure work is completed to specifications.
- Review and manage documentation related to subcontractors and project activities.
- Monitor document control registers to ensure that work instructions, methods, and drawings are issued correctly and up to date.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field, with a preference for specializations in Offshore & Dredging Engineering or Maritime Infrastructure.
- At least two years of relevant work experience, preferably in the dredging or maritime industry.
- Experience in supporting projects and managing external engineering teams and suppliers.
- Strong command of English (both written and spoken).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Independent, practical, and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to make decisions and work collaboratively in teams.
- Willingness to travel internationally for both short and extended periods.
