Short description

We are seeking a highly skilled Subcontracting Senior Coordinator to join our construction project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing claims and addressing ad-hoc contractual issues within the subcontracting department. This role requires excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Function description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process subcontractor claims and disputes, ensuring thorough analysis and timely resolution
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on subcontracting matters.
  • Handle ad-hoc contractual issues as they arise, providing expert advice and solutions
  • Liaise with other departments to obtain inputs, prepare formal correspondence based on the information collected.
  • Ensure all communication to subcontractors is accurate and up to date.
  • Maintain detailed records of all contractual correspondences and claims, ensure all correspondence are responded to within the due dates.
  • Coordinate with the legal team as required to ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with the Subcontract Manager to identify and mitigate commercial and contractual potential risks.
  • Prepare reports and presentations related to subcontracting activities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in subcontract coordination or a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is a significant plus.
  • Strong legal acumen and experience with contractual agreements.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with construction project management processes.


Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Law, or a related field.
  • Additional qualifications or certifications in contract management or legal studies are a plus.
